Connect your YouTube channel

ROO$TER App · Creating & Posting Content · Updated 2026-08-17

YouTube is one of the networks Rudy posts your videos and Shorts to, and every ROO$TER member can connect it — free trial included. Here's how to link it — and what to do if you don't have a channel yet.

If you already have a channel

  1. Open the ROO$TER app and go to $OCIAL MEDIA (Connections).
  2. Tap Connect on the YouTube tile.
  3. Choose the Google account your channel lives on — this is the step people get wrong, so pick carefully if you're signed into several.
  4. Tap Allow on Google's permission screen.
  5. You'll land back on Connections with a green on YouTube. Leave its toggle on and Rudy includes it in every post.

If you don't have a channel yet

  1. Go to youtube.com signed in to the Google account you want the channel on.
  2. Tap your avatar ▸ Create a channel, and name it.
  3. Add a logo and banner so it doesn't look empty.
  4. Come back to $OCIAL MEDIA in ROO$TER and tap Connect on YouTube.

Can I use a channel that isn't my business?

Yes. Rudy posts to whatever channel you connect — a personal channel, a passion project, a channel you share with a partner. It doesn't have to match a business, and you don't need a business at all. Whatever you connect is where your vertical videos go as Shorts.

Connected the wrong channel? Re-link the YouTube tile and pick the right Google account — the newest connection is the one Rudy uses.
