Rooster Agents · The Arsenal · The Meme De$k
Meme ads · rights-clean · gated before they ship

Anybody can generate a meme. Getting it past the ad account is the whole job.

The meme-ad generators hand you a copyrighted film still with your logo pasted in the corner and a joke that never mentions what you sell. This desk builds the meme as a structure drawn in your own brand, scores it 0–100 on the six things that decide whether it stops a thumb and lands the sale, and refuses to render the lines that get ad accounts rejected. Run it on your own business below — it works in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

Run the desk on your business

Eight formats get written and scored every time. You see the winner, the runners-up and anything the gate refused — the same eight components, the same weights the desk uses internally.

The part the generators skip: the gate

A meme generator will happily draw you an ad that gets your account restricted. Five refusals are absolute here — they override the score, however funny the draft is.

Personal attributes

“Are you overweight and tired of hiding it” is the single most common way a health, aesthetics or finance ad gets rejected: the platforms forbid copy that asserts or implies something about the person reading it. The desk catches the pattern — a condition word pointed at you — and refuses to render. Same pain, no rejection: talk about the situation, not the person.

Absolute claims

Guaranteed, cure, permanent, 100%, clinically proven. Unprovable promises in a paid creative are a policy problem before they are a legal one, and a meme is exactly where they slip in, because it reads as a joke.

Somebody else's still

The classic meme templates are stills from films, TV and photographers. Putting your logo on one and paying to distribute it is how a small brand collects a takedown. Every format here is drawn as vector art in your own colours, so there is nothing to take down.

Before / after in a restricted category

Body, weight, skin, recovery, dental. The single most requested meme ad in those verticals is the one guaranteed to be pulled. The desk knows the category and stops it at the brief.

A real run, with the failures left in

One batch, four briefs, 32 drafts written and scored: 17 cleared to ship after a fix, 7 sent back for rework, 8 refused outright. Every refusal came from the fourth brief — a med spa asking for exactly the ad a generator would have happily drawn eight times. Three real client briefs, three different brand palettes, one engine. Run 2026-08-26.

What the 0–100 actually measures

Six components, fixed weights, no vibes. The demo above runs this exact scorer.

ComponentWeightWhat earns the points
Pain truth25A pain a buyer could picture: a number, a timeframe, a named thing. Filler adjectives lose points, because “professional, trusted, quality” is what every competitor already says.
Format fit20Each format performs one persuasion job. Argue with a buyer at the wrong stage of awareness and the joke lands on nobody.
Scroll stop15Readable at thumbnail size. Every slot has a character ceiling; a paragraph in a meme is a scroll.
The turn15A meme is a reversal. If the punchline is the setup rearranged, there is no joke — measured as overlap, polarity flip and contrast pair.
Offer resolve15Funny and forgettable is a loss. The last beat has to be the thing you sell, with your name on the creative and one move to make.
Safety10Policy, claims, rights, bait, links in the body. Soft hits cost points; the five hard hits refuse the render outright.

Where this sits in a real campaign

Your brand, not ours

The renderer takes your colours, so the same structure comes out as your ad. The examples above are three different brands rendered from three briefs by the same engine — no template licence, no watermark, no shared look with the thousand other businesses using the same generator.

Written, then gated, then posted

Drafts are written from the brief, scored, and only the survivors go out — captioned, sized for the placement, and posted to your connected accounts the same day you text us the angle.

Eight ideas, not one

Every brief produces all eight formats and ranks them, which is how you test hooks instead of falling in love with the first idea. The runners-up are next week's posts.

It gets sharper with the numbers

Real engagement feeds back into the format ranking, so the desk learns which structures win in your market — not which ones win in general.

Questions

Why not just use the classic meme templates?

Because they are not templates, they are film stills, television frames and photographs that belong to somebody. A big meme page reposting one is a different risk from a business putting its logo on one and paying to distribute it. Every format here is a structure — two buttons, a ladder, a receipt, a bell curve — drawn as vector art in your colours, so there is nothing to take down and nothing that looks like the thousand other businesses using the same generator.

What actually gets a meme ad rejected?

Overwhelmingly one thing: implying something about the person reading it. “Are you overweight”, “struggling with your addiction”, “tired of your acne” — the platforms forbid copy that asserts or implies a personal attribute, and a meme is where it slips in because it reads as a joke. Absolute claims (guaranteed, cure, permanent, 100%) are second, and before-and-after imagery in a restricted category is third. The desk refuses all three at the brief instead of finding out after the account is restricted.

Is the score on this page the real one?

Yes. The scorer in your browser is a port of the production one, constant for constant, and we check them against each other — the last parity run put forty drafts through both engines and the largest difference in the score was 0.0. The page is not a demo of the tool, it is the tool.

What makes a meme actually work as an ad?

A meme is a reversal: the second beat has to break the promise of the first. Most business memes fail because the punchline is the setup rearranged, or because they are funny and never mention what is being sold. So the score measures the turn between the beats and whether the last beat is the offer, on top of whether the pain is specific enough for a buyer to picture.

Do you need my logo, my brand kit or an account?

Not for the tool on this page — type a brief, get eight scored formats, download the PNG. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. For the version we run for clients we take the brand colours, the offer and the placements, and the memes come out looking like your account rather than a generator's.

Why write eight versions instead of one good one?

Because nobody knows which structure lands until it runs, and the first idea is almost never the best one. Eight formats from the same brief cost nothing to write, and the ranking tells you which persuasion job actually suits the buyer you described. The runners-up are next week's posts.

Can this run every week without me writing the briefs?

That is the point of it. Text us the angle — or let the desk pull the pain from what your market is already complaining about — and the surviving memes go out captioned and sized for the placement, with the scores attached so you can see why they shipped.
