Show, don’t tell. Privacy proof your customers watch happen.
Every business that handles customer data hits the same wall: “what happens to my customers’ info?” Competitors answer with a paragraph. The Vault answers with a live demo: drop in an export and watch every name, phone, email and birthday get pulled out on screen, right in the browser, 0 bytes uploaded, then download a receipt that proves it.
Try it: drop a file or run a demo
Use one of the three demo exports (fake people, 555 numbers, example.com emails) or your own CSV, TSV or Excel file. Watch the network counter: it stays at zero because nothing leaves your device.
An automated de-identification aid that makes the step visible. Not legal advice or a compliance certification.
Why showing beats telling
A privacy policy asks for trust. A live demo earns it in thirty seconds. We built The Vault after a simulated crowd of 40 business owners read a data offer and 24 of them stopped at the same place: privacy. Words alone weren’t moving them, so we made the answer something they can watch.
Nothing to trust blindly
No upload, no account, no server. A live counter shows zero network requests after the file opens.
Catches the hidden ones
Name and phone columns go, and so does “call Linda at 555-0142” buried in a notes field.
The useful part stays
Amounts, job types, statuses, durations, month, city. ZIPs shrink to 3 digits, staff become Staff A / B.
Proof they keep
SHA-256 fingerprint, counts per type, every rule applied and a check for anything still unique per row.
Questions
What is The Vault?
A privacy tool your customers can watch work. They drop in a spreadsheet export (or use a demo file) and see every name, phone number, email, birthday, address and ID get removed on screen. Then they see exactly what is left, and download a receipt.
Does the file get uploaded anywhere?
No. It runs entirely in the visitor's browser. The page shows a live count of network requests made after the file is opened, and it stays at zero. It even works with the internet switched off.
What does it catch?
Whole columns of names, phones, emails, birthdays, street addresses, tax and insurance IDs, card and account numbers, IP addresses and customer numbers. It also reads free-text notes and pulls out the personal details hiding inside them, like "call Linda at 555-0142".
What does the receipt prove?
It records a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original file, counts of everything removed, the rule applied to every column, a timestamp and a re-identification check. Anyone can later confirm which exact file was checked without ever seeing it.
Which files work?
CSV and TSV exports from QuickBooks, HubSpot, Square, Jobber, ServiceTitan and most other business tools, plus Excel .xlsx in current browsers. Three demo files with obviously fake people are built in.
Who is this for?
Any business that asks customers to trust it with data: data and analytics companies, bookkeepers, agencies, clinics, software vendors, brokers. Anywhere the sales conversation stalls on "what happens to my customers' info?"
Is it a compliance certification?
No. It is a de-identification aid that makes the step visible. It does not replace legal advice or an industry-specific review.
Can we get it with our brand on it?
